A Letter To My Younger self !

Dear Younger self,

You probably won't recognise me with all the scars on my face, these tiring eyes and a figure that went south while trying to make a living for myself in this fast paced city. But I am not ashamed of any of it, I love them all. They represent all the hard work and struggle in making me what I am today. I proudly wear it all.

When you wake up tomorrow morning cherish the moment because in a couple of years you will be waking up to an empty room with strangers. Its a total bliss to be in the presence of your loved ones, you are going to miss that a lot. This feeling of being able to call this place your home will be missed when you will go to your flat every night tired alone. Take your time, one day at a time. Do everything that you always wish to do for Mum and dad. Go make him a cup of Tea and cook lunch for them, hug them tight and fall asleep beside them. Its the one thing that you're gonna miss the most.

When you go to school tomorrow, don't worry about what people think of you. It doesn't matter and its never going to. Enjoy what you have and embrace it. You are the best when you're you. The pictures that you click with Papa's phone will become your passion one day, the stories you tell people and the books that you read will become your journal one day and the compassion you have for others will help you become a better person. Don't judge yourself because others do too. Believe in you. You're gonna achieve far better than you believe you can.

Stop criticising your body because the society judge you on your looks. Don't stand in front of the mirror all day and think about how you fall short of other's expectations. Your colour, your hair, your body everything is perfect. Don't forget at the end its your inner beauty that outlives physical beauty every time. So don't starve yourself, I know you're hurt. Smile! and stay focused on your goals.

When your school friends forget your birthday don't get upset. At the end you will have a circle of 2-3 close friends who will matter and will always be there for you. Others will just come and go. So don't stress of having a huge number of friends. You'll meet your bffs when its time.

You love what you do. Don't stop doing any of it. I know its hard under some circumstances but trust me these will keep you alive mentally. You don't know how much you love clicking pictures and how much you are gonna regret being serious in the beginning. So no matter what it takes, follow your dreams and passion. Read a lot and capture everything with your visualization. Because I know you live for it.

Spend time with your younger ones. I know you guys fight like crazy but you miss them a lot now. There isn't a day when you don't miss their voice and their crazy fights. take out some time and talk to them, listen to what they say and how they feel. Play with them and make a hell lot of memories. Because when you come to your flat every night and there is absolute silence you miss their voices and it leaves a void in your heart.

Life will throw unlimited pebbles in your way, collect them all and make your castle. It isn't easy but you gotta do it girl. Their are numerous possibilities where you will be left alone to face them alone.  Be prepared and remember it all comes down to you and your happiness. So make sure you work hard.

I know you want to grow super soon and go out of city and live in hostel all independent and stuff. But don't be in such a hurry. Enjoy these days with your family because these days will never come back. You will be lost in social media or your virtual friends on your virtual reputation or your career or your #life. But you will never be the same. So instead of wanting to be 18 soon and riding your own bike and going for movies, take a deep breath and leave that to your older self. And indulge yourself in the moment.

I know you're stubborn and you will become the little brat that you are. But I still hope you don't regret things that I did.

Love,
Your Older self
